Rise of the Ronin will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive and will join an impressive lineup of recent samurai games, like Ghost of Tsushima, Trek to Yomi, and Like a Dragon: Ishin!, which was also revealed during the State of Play. The trailer also shows off traversal via a very cool looking glider. You’ll take control of a ronin, a warrior with no master, who will fight to “forge a new era for Japan.” Combat shown in the trailer features katanas, as you might expect, as well as firearms that are making their way into Japan during this time. Rise of the Ronin will transport players to an evolving Japan in the years leading up to the Meiji era.
